This includes a search at the Lagos State Land Registry, checking the survey plan with the Surveyor-General's office and confirming the property is free from government acquisition. We share all documents with you before payment.
A Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) is the first title issued by the state on a piece of land. When a property with a C of O is sold, the buyer needs Governor's Consent to legally transfer the title into their name. Both are strong, government-recognised titles.

For rentals in Lagos you will usually pay the rent, an agency fee, a legal fee and sometimes a caution deposit. For purchases, expect legal fees, agency fees and the cost of perfecting your title. We explain every fee clearly before you commit.
